BenzaClin® - a topical acne treatment. Combining two acne treatment medications in a single gel: clindamycin 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5%. Note: benzoyl peroxide can cause facial redness and aggravate rosacea or rosacea-related skin conditions.

Benzamycin® - (3% erythromycin, 5% benzoyl peroxide), a topical acne treatment medication combining benzoyl peroxide and erythromycin. Note: benzoyl peroxide can cause increased facial redness and aggravate rosacea or rosacea-related skin conditions.

Benzoyl peroxide - an acne treatment product with antibacterial properties commonly used to treat acne, adult acne and acne vulgaris. Note: benzoyl peroxide can cause increased facial redness and lead to rosacea and aggravates existing rosacea or rosacea-related skin conditions.

Beta Hydroxy Acid - or BHA is a simple organic fruit acid found in nature or synthesized in the laboratory, sometimes used in the treatment of adult acne or acne vulgaris. Note: treatment with BHA's can lead to rosacea, rosacea-related symptoms, or acne rosacea.

Betaplex - a combination of alpha and beta hydroxy acids in a cream used in treatment of adult acne or acne vulgaris. Note: acne treatment with AHA's or BHA's can lead to rosacea, rosacea-related symptoms, or acne rosacea.

Blackheads - Blackheads are small, dark spots (about the size of a pinhead) caused by discoloration of the surface of a small plug in the opening of a follicle (pore).

Blepharitis - An inflammation of the lash follicles at the eyelid margins due to excess growth in lash follicles of bacteria normally present on the skin. Blepharitis is sometimes present in ocular rosacea. Alternative name: eyelid inflammation.

Bulbous Nose - A large, bulbous, ruddy appearance of the nose sometimes present in rosacea or acne rosacea patients. Alternative names: Rhinophyma, Nose bulbous.
