CapexTM Shampoo - (fluocinolone acetonide) Topical Shampoo, a steroid medication used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis or severe dandruff. Use of steroids at the hairline can cause steroid-induced rosacea.
Carbon Dioxide Laser - (CO 2) laser is used in the treatment of infected wounds, scar tissue, warts, and other skin disorders. Note: Use of the CO2 laser treatment carries a risk of burns to the skin.
Cellex-C® - Serum used in the treatment of acne containing L-ascorbic acid, tyrosine and zinc. A beta hydroxyl acid. Treatment with BHA's can lead to rosacea, rosacea-related symptoms, or acne rosacea.

Chalazion or chalazia - A small mass in the eyelid caused by a blockage of a tiny oil gland in the eyelid commonly found in ocular rosacea. Alternative names: Meibomian gland lipogranuloma.
Chemical Peels - a solution applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the production of new skin cells. Chemical peels are an AHA or BHA treatment solution sometimes used in the treatment of acne. Treatment with AHA's and BHA's can lead to rosacea, rosacea-related symptoms, or acne rosacea.
Chronic - A condition that is continuous or persistent over an extended period of time. The opposite of acute. A chronic condition is one that is long-standing, not easily or quickly resolved.

Colloidal silver - a suspension of submicroscopic metallic silver particles in a colloidal base. Comedogenic - (pronounced coh-me-dough-jen-ic) refers to anything that tends to clog pores and produce comedones, commonly called blackheads. Term associated with acne, adult acne and acne rosacea.
Comedones - Comedones are small, flesh colored, white, or dark bumps that give skin a rough texture. The bumps are found at the opening of a sebaceous follicle (pore). Whiteheads and /or blackheads. Frequently found on the forehead and chin of those with acne, adult acne or acne rosacea. The singular is "comedo".
Conjunctivitis - Inflammation or infection of the membrane lining the eyelids associated with ocular rosacea. Also known as pink eye.
Contact dermatitis - A skin inflammation caused by direct contact with a substance. Alternative names: Over-treatment dermatitis; Dermatitis - contact; Allergic dermatitis; Dermatitis - allergic; Poison ivy; Poison oak; Poison sumac.
