Also sold under the brand names: Erythrocin® (Oral), Eryc®, E.E.S.®, E-Mycin®, Erythromycin® (Oral), Pediamycin®, Robimycin®. Note: Use of oral antibiotics can cause increased sun-sensitivity. Iridocyclitis - Eye inflammation sometimes associated with ocular rosacea. Iritis - Inflammation of the iris, a part of the eye. Symptoms include eye pain, sensitivity to light, and/or blurry vision sometimes associated with ocular rosacea. Isopto-Cetamide® - Ophthalmic antibiotic medication used in the treatment of eye infections sometimes associated with ocular rosacea. Also sold under the brand names: Sulfair®, Ak-Sulf®, Ophthacet®, Cetamide®, Sulfair Forte®, Sodium Sulamyd®, Sulten-10®, sulfacetamide. Isotretinoin - an alternative treatment to oral antibiotics which is sometimes effective for severe outbreaks of papules and pustules associated with acne and adult acne. Also sold under the brand names: Accutane, Roaccutane. This acne medication can have severe side effects and should not be used with rosacea skin. |
